If you have never had a Moroccan bath, it helps to know what the session is like before you book. This guide explains the ritual, how long it takes and what to expect at our spa in JLT, Dubai.
What a Moroccan bath is
A Moroccan bath is a traditional cleansing ritual in the hammam style. It usually combines warmth and steam with a thorough exfoliation, so your skin feels soft, smooth and refreshed afterwards. The exact steps can vary from one spa to another, so it is always fine to ask what your booking includes.
How the ritual usually goes
- Warmth and steam: the warmth softens your skin and helps you settle in.
- Cleansing and exfoliation: the therapist cleanses and scrubs your skin. This is firmer than a gentle massage, so tell your therapist if the pressure feels too strong.
- Rinse: your skin is rinsed after the exfoliation.
If you would like to know exactly what is included in the package you choose, message us on WhatsApp before your visit.
How long does it take?
- On its own: a 45 minute Moroccan Bath at our daytime happy hour rate, daily from 11 AM to 6 PM. Happy hour is booking only, with no walk-ins.
- With a body treatment: Moroccan Bliss combines a 60 minute Moroccan Bath with a 30 minute body treatment.
- In a larger package: Luxury Escape and Ultimate Relaxation include a 90 minute Moroccan Bath, with a sauna, jacuzzi and facial.
You can see current prices on our Moroccan bath in JLT page.
